CDL Speeding in a Construction Zone - Dropped to Non-Moving

January 2022

A commercially licensed driver whose initials are A.K. called on New Year's Eve and was surprised when he heard our phones answered. He was even more surprised to speak with Mr. Lawrence himself who was in the office "finishing up the year."

A.K. briefly explained he received a citation in North Louisiana for speeding in a construction zone. However, he believed the officer detected his speed before he had entered the construction zone. He asked if Mr. Lawrence could help. Mr. Lawrence stated he had experience in these matters and would be glad to help.

The court date was a few short weeks later, and Mr. Lawrence negotiated with the prosecutor at the behest of A.K. and without requiring A.K. to come off of the road to attend court. The result was a non-moving violation and a small fine.

Since every case is different, the reproduction of these results cannot be guaranteed. However, if you would like to schedule a consultation, the attorneys of Lawrence Law Firm will look at the facts of your case with the same scrutiny and will work tirelessly to achieve the most favorable results.
