Indecent Behavior With A Juvenile - Probation

In the summer of 2020, police responded to a call from the Northern Louisiana Medical Center in regard to a possible sex crime. The victim's mother stated that she had discovered that her son had been sexually assaulted. The victim told police that he had been walking with his friends when he was offered a ride home by someone he knew, referred to as CR. He stated that CR took him to his residence, where he assaulted him despite his multiple protests. After the assault, the victim ran out and to his own residence, where he waited two weeks before telling anyone. Police arrested CR and took him to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. 

The defendant waived any delay he might be entitled to and Court sentenced the defendant to serve five (5) years of hard labor. Suspended. The defendant is placed on supervised probation for three (3) years. The defendant is ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and all costs. Additionally, a protective order is issued during the term of probation and on behalf of the victim, J.M.. Further, the defendant is ordered not to contact that victim in any way. The defendant is ordered not to possess or own any firearms.
