Aggravated Battery & Resisting An Officer - Charges Reduced/Time Served.

March 2021

In mid-July, police responded to a disturbance call. Upon arrival, they were informed of a woman, walking down the street without a shirt. They took her into custody, during which officers stated she resisted several times. Reports stated officers later learned she had forcibly attempted to enter a home, and by doing so may have hurt the person inside. The woman was transported to Lincoln Parish Detention Center.

Upon examination of the reports and briefly speaking with officers, Mr. Lawrence was able to negotiate a plea offer of time served, upon the woman's plea to simple battery and resisting (two misdemeanors) the woman was released from custody.
